Great book Peter. You have been an inspiration to me since I was 17 years old at Fern Territory and you still are to this day. Thank you, Lance Mellon

Dear Lanka, Thank you for your feedback. I remember Fern Territory, living there in a school bus on the pond, and making Maple Sugar. What year was that? I was living in India for over ten years. I attended college there and earned a degree in Ayurveda. Much water under the bridge. Please send me your picture so I can refresh my memory. What are you doing now? I tried to look you up but found nothing.

Hello Peter, thanks for writing back. Maybe you did not find me when you look me up because my name is not Lanka it is Lance Mellon. And we are already friends on Facebook. The Lanka is just the name I used for signing up to that site for some reason. Anyway I think the year we were at Fern Territory was around 1973? Or they're about. Yes I remember making maple syrup and before that we made the maple sugar shack. I lived in a cabin with Frank Kaufman that we both built for $5 which was mainly the cost of the wood cook stove and a couple of windows. All the lumber we cut on the sawmill there at Fern Territory. After about a year I ran off with Molly and bought a farm in Central Pennsylvania and grew apples for 25 years. Now I'm in San Francisco. As far as my picture you can see me at my Facebook account Lance Mellon.

I was in the tropical fruit sales business with a large Mexican company for the past 25 years but retired from there after an issue with my heart (AFib) and gallbladder which has been mostly resolved. I have always followed the aryveda healing methods.

So I remember once at Fern Territory coming up to your school bus by the large pond and it was heated very hot like a sauna. Your girlfriend you and I got toasty and then ran a hundred yards through the snow naked to the pond, cracked a hole in the ice and jumped in. I remember you were reading Anne Wigmore's book and she wrote you back and told you that maybe it was not wise to jump in icy water because of heart issues. I believe it was called Why Suffer- Wheatgrass, God's Manna. Do you remember? I am at lancemellon@hotmail.com by the way. Keep in touch, Lance
